I'm fourteen, he's twenty four?

I fell in love with a guy who is twenty four and I'm fourteen. I thought he was only eighteen for the longest time because he has a very young face. I know that is a huge age difference now but I'm just wondering when it wont be. Would it still be too much when I'm eighteen? I'm also wondering if he could think of me as a friend or if I would just be a little girl to him. My brothers are all in their twenties and we get along really well. they treat me like their equal and not their "itty bitty baby sister." Do you think we could be friends?
