Why dont teen parents stay together?

ive been watching 16 & Pregnant a lot lately and most of the couples dont stay with eachother. Why? i understand that the parents fight a lot but wouldnt they want to work it out and stay together for the baby? and im not just asking this question bc of the show, i know a few girls who have a baby and they arent with the babies dad anymore either.
